The Sustainability Committee is a structure we have established to promote sustainability management that creates new value for society through our business activities and pursues the mutual sustainability of society, local communities and the Izumi Group. Serving as an advisory organization to the Board of Directors, the Sustainability Committee is chaired by the President and Representative Director, with the Deputy President and Director as well as the Senior Executive Officer and Manager responsible for Sustainability serving as deputy chairs and with the Executive Officer and Corporate Planning Department Manager serving as secretariat manager. By deliberating important sustainability issues, the committee aims to realize superior sustainability management and growth strategies. The Sustainability Committee meets several times a year (at least twice) and reports details of its meetings to the Board of Directors.
(i) The Sustainability Committee makes plans, proposals and recommendations in relation to sustainability strategies and initiatives throughout the entire Group and submits proposals and reports to the Board of Directors.
(ii) The committee manages progress and otherwise deliberates on basic management policies and business activity policies and strategies in relation to sustainability.
(iii) We have established subcommittees within the Sustainability Committee as organizations that manage sustainability-related risks and consider and execute operations instructed by the committee.
